CRASH PAD RENTALS

Heading out for a bouldering trip? Local Brushers offers a variety of crash pads for rent, including brands such as Evolv, Mad Rock, Cordless, Organic, Black Diamond, Ocún, and Metolius. With eight crash pads of varying sizes available, we've got options for everything from quick sessions to multi-day bouldering trips.

Pickup Locations

Crash pads are available for pickup at The Gear Room in Salt Lake City or our designated Millcreek pickup location. Pickup details will be confirmed once your rental request has been approved.

Rental Duration

Rentals are available for one to five calendar days, with discounted rates for additional days. Rental extensions may be requested and are subject to availability and approval.

RENTAL POLICIES & TERMS

Reservations & Payment

All rental requests are subject to availability and approval by Local Brushers. Submitting a request does not guarantee a reservation.

Once approved, payment must be completed before equipment is released. A valid credit or debit card must be securely placed on file for the duration of the rental.

The payment method on file may be used for applicable additional charges in accordance with a separate payment authorization.

Pickup & Returns

Crash pads are available for pickup at The Gear Room in Salt Lake City or our designated Millcreek pickup location.

All pickup and return arrangements must be confirmed by Local Brushers. Equipment must be returned by the agreed-upon return date and to the agreed-upon location.

Please return equipment in reasonably clean condition, free of excessive dirt, mud, and debris.

Cancellations & Refunds

Local Brushers Cancellations: Local Brushers reserves the right to cancel a rental at any time. If we initiate the cancellation, all rental fees paid will be fully refunded.

Customer Cancellations: The first day's rental charge is non-refundable. If a customer cancels before pickup, additional rental days will be refunded.

Slow Season: November 15 – January 31 and July 1 – August 31. Customers who return equipment early will only be charged for the days used, including the non-refundable first day. Unused additional days will be refunded.

Climbing Season: February 1 – June 30 and September 1 – November 14. Customers are responsible for the full reserved rental period. Early returns do not qualify for refunds on unused days.

Eligible refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Rental Extensions & Late Returns

The maximum initial rental period is five calendar days.

Customers may request an extension before their scheduled return date. Extensions are subject to availability and approval by Local Brushers.

Approved extensions will be charged at the applicable additional daily rental rate.

Unapproved late returns may result in additional rental charges.

Equipment Damage & Loss

Renters are responsible for the equipment throughout the rental period. Normal wear and tear from appropriate use is expected.

  • Damage: Damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in repair or replacement charges up to the full replacement value, depending on the severity.
  • Lost or Stolen Equipment: Lost, stolen, or unreturned pads will be charged at their full replacement value.

Customers should inspect equipment at pickup and report any existing damage before use.

Climbing Safety & Liability

Bouldering and climbing are inherently dangerous activities that carry risks of serious injury or death.

Crash pads are designed to help reduce impact forces during falls, but they do not eliminate the risks associated with climbing.

Renters are responsible for proper placement and use of equipment, assessing climbing conditions, and exercising appropriate judgment.
